**Position Overview**:
The Yard Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operations within the yard, ensuring efficient management of materials, equipment, and personnel.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**: Supervise and manage yard personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- **Operations Management**: Oversee daily yard activities, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment. Coordinate with other departments to facilitate seamless operations.
- **Inventory Control**: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels. Conduct regular audits and implement strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure all yard operations comply with company policies and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections, addressing any potential hazards promptly.
- **Facility Maintenance**: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the yard, equipment, and associated facilities. Coordinate repairs and schedule routine maintenance as needed.
- **Customer Service**: Interact with customers and vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to yard operations.
- **Reporting**: Prepare and submit regular reports on yard activities, inventory status, and personnel performance to senior management.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 7-10 years in yard management, logistics, or a related field. Experience in the construction or restoration industry is preferred.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and logistics software.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Certifications**: Forklift Operator Certification, OSHA Safety Certification (preferred).
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, and work in various weather conditions.
