- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for proper documentation and approval
- Enter invoices into the accounting system and allocate expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments
- Maintain accurate and organized files for all accounts payable documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an accounts payable clerk or in a similar role
- Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ADP
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and procedures
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Kronos or UltiPro is a plus
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
