**What to Expect**:
The Quality Assurance Specialist will be reporting to the Senior Quality Compliance Specialist. As a member of the quality team, he/she is responsible for all aspects of the quality functions as per current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company policy.

**A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Specialist**:

- Maintain a current knowledge of applicable Non-prescription and Natural Health Product Directorate (NNHPD) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Dietary Supplement Regulations and maintain current knowledge of GMP/cGMP programs.
- Knowledge of SOPs at Richmond Hill Distribution Centre (RHDC) pertaining to job function

and GMP/cGMP.
- Working knowledge of all software and programs implemented at RHDC in relation to the Quality Systems, JDE complying with GMP/cGMP
- Responsible for maintaining the consumer complaint program
- Responsible for preparing monthly matrix reports for consumer complaints
- Manage and maintain product review and dispositions for all NHS branded products
- Work alongside suppliers to finalize product releases, status, deviations etc.
- Provide support for overall stability program
- Set up stability protocols and testing requirements
- Assist in sending stability samples out for testing and coordinating with suppliers to ensure samples are sent out and set up for stability
- Review of stability reports
- Review and perform gap analysis on overall program
- Provide support for all QA function relating to new product launches for RHDC including Product specification set up and reviews, setting up product stability, product review for final dispositions, review of impacted deviations and changes for follow up, investigations and closures.
- Provide support for product review and dispositions to market including deviation and changes review for closures.
- Provide support in product Recalls and communication to the regulatory agencies as Recall Coordinator (Atrium products)

**Role Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant Science degree
- Experience is an asset with facilitation of Quality system programs such as: corrective action programs, deviations, audits and stability Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases

- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others in a collaborative and positive manner
