**RESIDENT HOME CO-ORDINATOR - FT**

You will be responsible for auditing, teaching, and supporting the Personal Support Worker (PSW) team to ensure compliance with the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act and Regulations, and Shepherd Village policies and procedures. You will also help to identify and participate in quality improvement initiatives, and assist with supervising, orienting, coaching and mentoring PSW's.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A degree or diploma in a health services program, or PSW certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Training in P.I.E.C.E.S and/or GPA
- Training in Nursing Restorative Care
- Previous experience in a long-term care setting or working with seniors.
- Previous supervisory experience.

**KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:

- Thorough knowledge of the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act and Regulations.
- Understand the nature and meaning of quality indicators and which indicators are publicly reported.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead others in a collaborative, team environment.
- Able to prevent and/or resolve conflicts.
- The ability to plan and coordinate work, understand and effectively coordinate resources.
- Supervisory ability, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and discipline.
- Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
- Computer literate, including Point Click Care and Microsoft Office.
- Able to work flexible hours.
