Accounting Technician and Administrative Support

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accounting Duties**:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by performing data entry and reconciling accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and file HST, GST, and payroll tax returns.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports under the supervision of senior staff.
- Support the preparation of client tax filings, including personal and corporate income taxes.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
**Administrative Duties**:
- Generate and manage internal invoices for clients.
- Onboard new clients, including gathering required documentation and setting up accounts in the system.
- Download and organize bank statements and other financial documents for clients.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payment.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and client information.
- Assist with general office duties such as filing, scheduling, and responding to client inquiries.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless client service.
**Qualifications**:
- A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or working towards one).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
Pay: Up to $40,500.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
