**Passionate Tutor Wanted**

**Position**: Part-Time Tutor

**Location**: 550 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC

**Pay**: $30-50/hr (premium rates for group sessions)

**Hours**: 4-12 hours per week

Illuminate Academy is a brand-new tutoring and enrichment school for grades 8-12 (opening early 2025). **Responsibilities**
- Develop clear lesson plans tailored to individual or group needs, consistently assessing progress and adjusting accordingly.
- Lead 1-on-1 or group sessions (up to 6 students), fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Track student progress via session summaries.
- Propose and implement interest-driven classes based on your own passions.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Passionate educators eager to share both academic expertise and personal interests. Topics that will be available for Grades 8-12 tutoring**:Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, English, ELL, IELTS/CELPIP/PTE Prep**.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required (teaching certificates and familiarity with the BC curriculum is preferred).
- Proof of current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, or willing to obtain one.
- Availability for a minimum of 2 days per week (flexible hours within Tuesday-Friday 3-9pm, Saturday 9am-5pm).
- Commitment to teaching in-person at our Vancouver location.
