**Job Overview**
As a Retail Supervisor at Fujiya Foods (Victoria location), you will ensure the checkout process is being performed correctly and efficiently to maximize customer satisfaction. Support with restocking, merchandising and administrative duties.

**Hours**:

- Between 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (7.5-hour shifts)
- Full-time (4-5 days per week)

**Job Duties**:
In addition to performing general cashier duties, Retail Supervisors will be responsible for the following:

- Oversee and supervise retail staff
- Train new employees and monitor their progress
- Advise the Manager on employee performance, compensation, promotions, and terminations
- Develop employee schedules with the Manager and report absences or tardiness
- Enhance team productivity and engagement
- Handle customer and vendor calls, orders, and requests
- Delegate tasks and follow up with team members
- Ensure proper organization of retail and storage areas
- Assist with problem-solving and resolve customer service issues
- Maintain and update various databases, spreadsheets, and directories
- Receive, inspect, and count goods; check for damage, expired, or missing items (review Purchase Orders and credit requests)
- Help maintain office and kitchen equipment inventory, ordering supplies as needed
- Assist with cashier procedures, restocking, daily opening/closing, floats, customer orders, and coin exchange
- Assist with other administrative duties as required
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as needed throughout your employment
- Responsible, with a passion for sharing Japanese food and culture
- Knowledge of Japanese products
- Experience managing or supervising a team
- Able to lift heavy items

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
