Vancouver, Canada Pacific Midwifery Practice Full time

We are looking for a part time Medical Office Assistant to start in January 2025.

We run a busy Midwifery Clinic in Vancouver and we are looking for a friendly, reliable MOA with strong admin and interpersonal skills. Must be kind and caring, great at multitasking and want to work in a patient centred environment.

Taking calls from clients, Drs offices, ultrasound clinics, and hospitals and dealing with enquiries or directing them to the Midwives as necessary

Greeting clients on arrival for their appointments, scheduling appointments

Referring clients to appropriate health care providers and specialists as needed

Setting up and maintaining electronic records, faxing information, filing of test results.

Correspondence with the midwives and clients

Administration, ordering and accounting of supplies/maintains office space

managing Oscar/ EMR/ Excel/ Microsoft

trouble shooting

maintaining a clean and stocked clinic space

**Qualifications**

MOA training programme or other admin experience

Completion of High school

**Must haves**

Prior Experience working in busy administrative role

**Experience using Electronic Medical Records mandatory (OSCAR is our current platform)**

Computer literacy for PC/competence with technology

Knowledge of general office management

Excellent English speaking and writing skills

Communication skills

**Previous Medical Office experience/ Admin background**

Good time management

Good judgement with regards to prioritizing tasks/handles sensitive information with confidentiality

Multitasking/detail oriented

Enjoys variability in their day

Strong organizational skills /excellent time management

Able to work independently with mínimal supervision

knowledge in medical terminology

Client centred approach

Schedule and Hours:
20-30 hours/week. In clinic and work from home. Flexibility needed. At this time need Tuesday 9-5, Wednesday 9-1, Thursday 9-5- Friday afternoons in person.

Salary to be discussed based on experience. Does not include benefits.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- No weekends
