Finance Manager

Position Summary

The Finance Manager - Systems & Process Optimization is a leadership role that supports both MJP and Related Companies, combining deep financial expertise with ERP systems acumen. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous improvement of finance-related systems and processes, especially within the Acumatica ERP platform.

This individual plays a key role in month-end and year-end processes, advanced financial reporting, and the implementation of system enhancements that improve accuracy, insight, and workflow efficiency across the organizations.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Management
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for MJP and two related entities.
- Oversee financial reporting, journal entries, trial balance reviews, and reconciliation of complex accounts.
- Analyze cost structures, margins, variances, and financial trends across manufacturing operations.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules in Acumatica.
- Reconcile production orders, bills of material and work in progress to ensure accurate manufacturing and project costs and revenues.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Support external reviews by preparing documentation and leading walkthroughs.
- Guide budget alignment and project cost controls in collaboration with operations and project teams.
- Participate in financial planning activities for new expansions and ventures.

ERP Management & System Optimization
- Lead system improvements, configuration, and maintenance of the Acumatica ERP platform.
- Develop and enhance custom dashboards, reports, and financial inquiries.
- Identify process gaps and implement scalable, automated solutions in collaboration with IT.
- Conduct system upgrades, data migrations, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure data accuracy and performance.
- Configure ERP components: rate tables, posting classes, item classes, UOMs, BOMs, labor & equipment rates, stock/non-stock items.
- Document business and technical requirements for system development.

Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between Finance, IT, Operations, and Procurement teams.
- Champion process automation, digital transformation, and system standardization initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of progressive finance experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or ERP-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of Acumatica ERP or comparable mid-market ERP platforms is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in financial system configuration and process optimization.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration experience preferred.

- Occasional travel between MJP and related companies offices may be required
