Photography Warehouse/studio Assistant

**Who We Are**:
We are MDRN (pronounced Modern). We specialize in photo and video activations at events. This can range from event photography, mobile studios, photo booths, 360 video booths and any other combination of cool experiences you can have involving photo/video.

You might be thinking... photobooths? like those things that you see at weddings. Well, kinda but better. We have taken our expertise in professional photographer and videography and applied them to event experiences. While the set up might sometimes look like a photo booth the image that comes out are straight out of a professional photo studio. We use nothing but professional cameras, lighting and printers.

MDRN Creative Group Inc. is looking for a Photography Warehouse/Studio assistant to join the team.

What does a Photography Warehouse/Studio assistant do?

You will be in charge of all of our equipment. Everything from updating inventory lists, setting up and putting away equipment before and after events. Coordinating repairs and maintaining the warehouse orderly and clean. You will also be in charge of shipping and receiving for the warehouse and managing our studio rentals part time.

What does that mean exactly? Well Mondays your day would likely be filled with returning all our photo and video equipment back to their places in the warehouse, making sure everything camer back in working order and complete.

The rest of your week would be setting up photo and video activations for programming, helping test them before they go out to events, packing equipment to be picked up by the event staff, testing concepts and managing our various orders that come in daily.

A couple of days a week you will need to help out at our studio rentals located at 57 Iber road and 65 Denzil Doyle. This could entail providing studio tours to potential photographers, flipping the studio (cleaning and resetting), helping manage the rentals on site.

The Warehouse/Event Associate will report directly to our 57 Iber road location in Stittsville.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up event orders.
- Organizes shipment priorities and dealing with shipping companies
- Assists in loading and unloading the deliveries
- Set up and tear down equipment as needed
- Deliver or pick up equipment as needed
- Program Equipment for events
- Assist in testing equipment for events
- Attend events as needed (minimum 1 a month)
- Receives shipments, logs into inventory, maintains inventory through audits.
- Locates manufacturer’s packing list, verifies receipt of each item listed, signs and attaches packing list to each bill of lading.
- Signs and dates freight bill noting all adjustments and/or damage to product and reports any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.
- Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
- Moves all inventory into allocated spaces within warehouse.
- Assists in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
- Processes returns accurately.
- Attends product knowledge meetings as required by management.
- Assists in keeping the facility secure. Ensures all equipment is stored at end of day and all doors and gates are secured.
- Maintains proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Great organizational skills
- Ability to move and lift heavy object of up to 100lbs
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Valid drivers license and vehicle
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- A drive to hit goals and constantly improve policies and procedures
- Photography knowledge is a plus but not required
- Proficient in both Mac and Windows products.
