**JOB TITLE: Family Support Worker**

**LOCATION**:

- **Child Development Centre (3820 - 24 Avenue NW, Calgary AB)**

**CONDITIONS & TERMS**:

- Permanent after 3-month probationary period.
- 10.25 months (school year)

Renfrew Educational Services is offering an opportunity for a part-time Family Support Worker. This opportunity is for someone interested in working with families who have children with special needs.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide assessment services to individuals and/or groups;
- Service planning and goal setting;
- Offer individual and family support;
- Advocate for families;
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams (pediatric psychologist, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist and clinical coordinator);
- Engage in and follow-up with other organizations/health care providers;
- Facilitate events and information sessions;

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- Registration (or provisionally registered) with the Alberta College of Social Workers required
- Social Work diploma will be considered if applicant has previous experience in a social work role
- Knowledge of social work code of ethics
- Understanding of and/or work experience with special needs community
- Cultural sensitivity
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexible and organized with good planning/time management and problem-solving skills
- A reliable vehicle, auto insurance with a minimum $2,000,000.00 liability and driver’s license is required
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is a condition of employment

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $40.26 per hour
