The Industrial Products Division develops sealing, bonding and protection solutions for the railway, automotive, truck, industrial body and other OEM markets, windshield replacement, shipbuilding, appliances and equipment, fenestration, etc. Sika Canada has regional offices and industrial sites in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia and employs over 450 people in Canada. The company is ISO 9001 - 14001 certified and a member of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC). Reporting to the Executive Vice President Target Market Residential Construction, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the region's sales functions and the contacts with the distributors and customers. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Sales Management:_ - Achieve sales and profitability targets for your region on an annual basis. - Direct and coordinate the region's sales personnel activities to ensure their optimal use. - Assist the the Sales Representative(s) to ensure the sales and profits budgets are achieved. - Manage sales personnel to achieve desired results. - Maintain stable, motivated and effective sales personnel. - Sales Expansion:_ - Develop, implement and achieve strategic plans to grow the business and improve our market share. - Coordinate and implement, along with the Marketing team, programs to increase the region's sales and profitability such as the introduction of new products. - Ensure the introduction and development of regional sales activities, such as contract review with the customers or distributors. - Meet regularly with the customers and distributors and act, whenever necessary, as a technical consultant for the selection of the adequate product(s) for a specific job. - Sales Planning_:_ - Develop, implement and achieve annual budgeted strategies and targets. - Prepare the annual sales budget and the three-year sales plan for the region to meet the company's sales and profitability objectives. - Work in close collaboration with the CSR's to help in the planning of the weekly production, and the monthly purchases of resale products. - Customer Complaints_:_ - Respond to customer complaints. - Additional duties as assigned. **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS** - Competitive base salary with commissions - Generous Paid Time Off - Comprehensive benefits package (Health, Dental, Insurance) - Strong company culture and an opportunity to grow with an industry leader **Qualifications** - Education: University or College degree in business or technical field of study or appropriate training or equivalent experience in sales, construction or distribution (5 to 10 years of experience). - Proven sales territory development and growth. - 2 years of supervisory experience. - Computer literate and willing to upgrade skills. - Bilingual is an asset (French and English, spoken and written, although French is not essential outside the Province of Quebec). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to coach sales staff for skills. - Strong aptitude to manage, supervise and motivate personnel. - Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and problem solving skills. - Able to work under pressure and ability to prioritize emergencies. - Aptitude for team work. - Excellent negotiation skills. - Able to travel frequently. **Additional Information** - Join the family of Sika, with over 33,200 employees and companies set up in over 100 countries, which provide ample of opportunities to grow. - Many of our employees describe their working relationships at Sika as friendly, personable and sincere.
