**About us**

The team at River Family Dentistry located in Kitchener, ON are looking for a passionate, hard-working Patient Coordinator on a Part-time basis.

River Family Dentistry is a family owned practice. We consist of 2 Full time Dentists and 3 Hygienist on any given day.

Dental Experience required. Abeldent a bonus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients regarding their appointments, services, and general dental inquiries.
- Confirm (via phone) appointments daily
- Maintain patient records accurately and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Handle billing and insurance claims processing tasks with precision and professionalism.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations.
- Collect Co-Pay and provide patients with information regarding their insurance
- Prepare Dental Treatment Estimates
- Support Clinical Staff
- Chart and Day sheet Audits
- Send patient referrals
- Handle billing and insurance claims processing tasks with precision and professionalism.
- Follow established protocols for cleaning, sterilizing, and disinfecting dental instruments and equipment.
- Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment safely and effectively.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterilization supplies and order replenishments as needed.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness in the dental office
- Adhere to infection control standards and guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
- Assist dental assistants and hygienists with chairside procedures as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a dental receptionist or sterilization technician role is required. On-going training will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
