Cafe Ami VGH is a locally owned and operated coffee shop providing locally roasted direct trade coffee, baked goods and house made sandwiches, wraps to the hospital staff, patients and visitors. Current store hours are weekdays 5:30am - 10:30pm and weekends 6:30am - 7:30pm. We have a strong and diverse team and are looking to add a Supervisor with sandwich food prep responsibilities to our team: - **Cafe Supervisor (full-time)** **Responsibilities**: - Serving customers with specialty beverages and light foods - Food Prep (sandwiches, wraps, salads) - Checking deliveries for accuracy. - Cashiering & cash handling - Customer service - General cleaning - Assisting with catering within the building - Monthly Inventory - Opening/Closing the store - Proactive communication - Trying to help arrange staffing coverage (i.e. for sick leave) when the Store Manager is not working Requirements & Assets - Barista experience - Supervisory experience (6 months+) - Previous food preparation experience is an asset (i.e. quick service, restaurant, or grocery store deli)* - FoodSafe Certification or equivalent - Friendly, positive "can do" attitude - Reliable - Willingness to learn - Excellent customer service - Ability to work well with other individuals and alone when needed. - *Please note we are willing to train the right individuals as finding the right long term fit for the team is important to us.*_ To apply, please submit your resume (online by clicking "Apply").
