Café Supervisor at Prado

**Prado Café is looking for a Café Supervisor for our Fir street store, located steps from Granville island. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service, love working as a part of a team, have an interest in coffee and want to develop new skills.**

**The Café Supervisor acts as a manager on duty when the store manager is not there. The Café Supervisor is the point person when the Store Manager is not available.**

**In this role, the Café Supervisor is able to hold themselves and their staff accountable, takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm and provides direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done.**

**This position will be scheduled to complement the manager’s schedule, meaning that the supervisor will be scheduled as often as possible when the manager is not.**

**The following are job requirements and expectations in this role**:

- Leads by example and assists the team in maintaining quality and customer service standards.
- Ensures the store cleanliness through delegating cleaning duties to team members. Uses all Cleaning checklists to ensure team members’ active and thorough execution of the tasks.
- Communicates to the store manager any issues or concerns that arise.
- Observes the performance and provides the feedback to the staff - recognizing the

achievements and coaching as needed.
- Oversees activities in the kitchen to ensure high quality foods are prepared and all food safety and sanitation standards are followed with consistency.
- Resolves quickly any complaints or issues related to coffee or food quality and know what procedures to take if the problem cannot be solved at the store level.
- Drives the sales by performing and adhering to all policies and procedures and leading the team to perform in their roles. Is able to generate the Sales report on Square POS system and understands the data.
- Ensures all equipment is in good working order. Is able to correct minor issues with equipment and/or know how to locate the correct resources in order to problem solve.
- Places the store orders as needed. Assists the store manager to maintain adequate stock of supplies.
- Maintains a clean and organized stockroom to provide accessibility and to expedite placing orders and inventory counts.

**Skills and Credentials Required**
- Good verbal, reading and writing skills (English).
- Ability to effectively compile data and information
- Food Safe Level 1
- Experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced, high-volume food-service environment.

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour
