We are Canada's largest family owned and operated bus company with over 1300 buses on the road each school day._ Due to company growth, we require a Full-Time School Bus **Dispatcher** based out of our Toronto office. This position offers a positive work environment in a fast paced environment, competitive salary, group benefits along with enhanced skill development. **Job Description**: - Maintains an up-to-date listing of school buses and assigned drivers - Assures ready access to an up-to-date route sheet for each scheduled route - Maintains an accurate daily attendance roster of drivers - Maintains cordial working relationships with assigned drivers - Operate two-way radio base station - Ability to work in a high-pressure environment - Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of roads and streets in Toronto and the surrounding area - Communicate with parents, supervisors, school administrators and department employees ; receive requests, questions, concerns and suggestions and provide information and assistance to appropriate personnel - Other duties as assigned Requirements & Skills: - Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency - Post secondary education preferred - 3 years experience preferred - Highly organized with a strong attention to detail - Previous dispatch experience considered an asset - Ability to prioritize work in a fast, flexible, multi task environment with mínimal supervision - Exceptional problem solving skills - Telephone and two-way radio techniques and etiquette - Speak clearly and distinctly - Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy - Creative, quick learner who will bring innovative thinking - Well-spoken and comfortable working with all levels of the organization - Energized, positive attitude and a team player - Work cooperatively with others - Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action - Excellent knowledge of all MS Office programs - Previous experience in the school bus industry is considered an asset - Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with school bus endorsement; must have or be willing to obtain within six months, or equivalent work experience **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $45,000.00-$56,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Work Location: In person
