We are currently seeking a standalone HR Manager with experience in full cycle HR functions including recruitment, compensation, performance management & workforce planning for a rapidly expanding manufacturing operation. Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager is a member of the management team and is responsible for planning, managing, controlling and executing the activities of Human Resources in Brampton, Richmond Hill & Woodstock locations.**What you will do**
- In conjunction with the General Manager and operating unit leaders, develop and implement the operational requirements and policies that will enable the business to meet its objectives;
- Manage full cycle recruitment and succession planning programs that enable the business to attract, select and retain the best qualified personnel;
- Administration of employee status changes, regular reporting requirements and any accompanying documentation through use of various programs/systems (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe/PDF, HRIS system, etc.);
- Advise and coach managers and supervisors on HR related policies, best practices and employee relation issues;
- Participate in coaching, discipline and investigation meetings and draft any letters or documentation as required;
- Run monthly and ad hoc reports through the HRIS system and Excel;
- Lead the annual/mid-year performance and compensation review process for hourly and salaried employees;
- Support employee engagement initiatives and Social Committee events through the year;
- Build trust and strong relationships with employees by spending time on the production floor;
- Guide the business culture to one that embraces employee collaboration and participation, in an environment of continuous improvement;
- Provide support to the onsite Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor and related corporate initiatives;
- Ensure compliance in all areas of employment legislation, i.e. Employment Equity, Employment Standards, Worker’s Compensation, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Rights, etc.;
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

**What you have to offer**
- Post-Secondary degree (University or college) related to Human Resources;
- 3 to 5 years of HR Management/Supervisory experience (CHRP or CHRL is an asset);
- Manufacturing background preferred;
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems;
- Excellent organizational and priority setting skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment;
- Strong communication (written/verbal/listening), facilitation and presentation skills;
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to take initiative;
- Possess a positive and professional manner, with the ability to show compassion/empathy.
