**ABOUT OUR CLIENT**:
Our client is a world class industrial manufacturer and aftermarket service provider in commercial heating equipment and service. We are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to join their company. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager will be a trusted member of the leadership team who brings a combination of both strategic and hands-on/tactical HR expertise. This is a high profile, newly created role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager who is interested in leading the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs that align with the company’s overall business strategy across Canada. The successful individual will provide internal support to the management team in all areas of HR, including employee relations, recruitment and workforce planning, employee engagement, internal communication, performance, and talent management. This position requires someone who enjoys managing the day-to-day HR operation while constantly looking for continuous improvements to HR practices and procedures.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- In this role, you will be responsible for the following:_

**HR Leadership & Strategy**:

- Work directly with the General Manager to identify opportunities for creation and implementation of end-to-end HR strategies, initiatives and procedures that support and enhance the organization’s current and future business needs
- Provide leadership and consultation to Management in the areas of employee relations, performance management, salary and performance review, corrective action and documentation, recruitment and selection, coaching and development, and policy/legislation awareness
- Spearhead programs and policies which will improve and enhance employee satisfaction and engagement; workplace culture; inclusive communication practices; and the resolution of employee issues through the effective use of open door, and investigation and counselling techniques
- Benchmark best labour/employment practices and understand local issues and trends
- Track and provide analysis and subsequent improvement plans with respect to HR metrics and KPI’s

**Staffing & Recruiting**:

- Play an integral role in leading and implementing recruitment strategies for full time and hourly staff, with a focus on current trends in a non-union environment
- Support management and talent acquisition in obtaining and retaining top talent through collaboration of determining staff needs and appropriate compensation
- Review and make recommendations to, payroll, benefits, Pension enrolment and probationary review documentation
- Schedule and conduct job evaluations and take action to improve employee’s experience

**Labor Law, Regulations & Employee Wellness**:

- Develop and implement HR legal/regulatory strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements and conducting investigations
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
- Represent the organization at hearings when necessary
- Work with employees to resolve concerns, building trust by treating each situation with compassion and follow-through
- Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
- Help organization achieve better employee relations
- Drive morale and recommend improvements to promote employee engagement and a positive working environment
- Implement workplace safety procedures and execute best practices to manage risk

**Training & Development**:

- Create and manage a performance appraisal system that drives effective development
- Help manage KPI’s for all departments
- Design training programs based on practical methods that include new learning technologies and training facilitators
- Arrange seminars, workshops, and conferences based on each department’s needs
- Organize a comprehensive new employee orientation and engage new staff onboarding

**Compensation & Benefits Administration**:

- Oversee the total compensation program, continuously evaluating rates, salaries, bonus structure and benefits program to ensure that they meet the needs of employees and current market standards
- Maintain Ceridian pay portal and manage Workflow process
- Prepare payroll budgets and implement pay structure revisions
- Benchmark like industries for hourly rates and salaried employees alike to help form attractive employee compensation and benefits program

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- What you'll bring to the role:_
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR experience required in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in the various HR functional areas including recruiting, health and safety, talent sourcing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, etc.,
