Canaan Transport Group Inc. is looking to add outstanding individuals to its team on a permanent and full time basis immediately.

We
- are an international freight forwarder and transportation specialist

Typical job duties include:

- Receptionist duties such as
- Plan work-related travel details
- Receive visitors
- Train and supervise lower-level clerical staff
- Maintain and order supplies
- Handle administrative needs of Executive
- Arrange conference calls and meetings
- Handling shipments for goods being imported into or exported out of Canada but primarily via Toronto and Montreal
- Identifying key problems and concerns and bringing them to the attention of the manager on a timely basis
- Properly recording accounts receivables, payables, revenues and expenses in the accounting system of the company
- Reducing the risk of liability for cargo that is imported into Canada by ensuring all proper procedures are followed for each file from cradle to grave
- Making bookings with ocean, truck and air carriers for shipments exported out of Canada - Receiving, researching and preparing rate quotations for various inquiries of shipments that come in
- Using the sales database system to keep track of customer contacts. This includes recording, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of all information put into this system
- maintaining a professional attitude to all co-workers, customers, and agents
- Identify and spot other opportunities to earn additional monies for the company and to ensure profit margins are acceptable
- Identify and spot sales opportunities for potential new customers
- Any other job duties and special projects that may come up from time to time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $31,200.00 per year
