We are looking for System Administrator to manage and provide technical service delivery to all IT & Managed Services internal and external customers

**Requirements**:

- University degree/diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or an equivalent education program, with 8+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Single Sign-On, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Proficiency with automation languages such as PowerShell or Python
- 5+ years of experience managing Active Directory, including users, groups, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- 5+ years in a Technical Analyst role handling server, storage, and backup environments, with strong troubleshooting skills.
- In-depth experience with server patching, using WSUS/SCCM/BigFix. Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Linux Server, VMware, and file services (DFS, NFS, CIFS).
- Proficiency in backup and recovery processes, with experience using Rubrik or Veeam.
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies and networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and FTP/SFTP.
- Experience working with Microsoft services like Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and familiarity with monitoring tools
- Data Centre operations Knowledge: Experience with server deployments, tape handling, copper and fiber cabling in data center environments is beneficial.
- Occasional travel to data centers within the Greater Toronto Area.

NICE TO HAVE
- Microsoft Azure certification and VMware certification are desirable.
- Network Administrators Certificate
- Knowledge with public cloud platforms
- Experience with ITSM ticketing tool like Service Now or similar tools
- Experience with monitoring tool like Manage Engine /CheckMK/ Nagios

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers (physical and virtual), operating systems, and storage solutions.
- Ensure server availability, reliability, security and performance through proactive monitoring.
- Plan and execute system updates, including operating system upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor patches for Windows environments.
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain Azure SaaS Cloud Services, including Azure AD, Teams, Intune, AAD Connect, Exchange Online, and O365.
- Implement, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to safeguard data and minimize downtime in the event of system failures.
- Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.
- Maintaining and auditing inventory of installed software, hardware, and components on the IT Asset Management system.
- Maintain detailed documentation of the IT infrastructure, including logical diagrams, server configurations, and security protocols in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal IT policies.
- Support hybrid cloud infrastructure and ensure seamless integration between on-site and cloud-based systems
- Work closely with other departments, including the Security Operations Centre, to ensure that IT infrastructure is secure to support critical business operations and support IT-related projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to implement new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and perform upgrades or patches as necessary.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations to enhance the company’s growing needs and infrastructure capabilities.
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents promptly as per the SLAs
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Support data center and server room operations, ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical operational users
- Provide afterhours support based on the scheduled rotation

- Ability to create and maintain documentation and training materials, including KB articles, for technical staff and end-user audiences
- Ability to build and foster strong relationships across the organization and with external partners
