**Job description**

The Ultimate Food Truck is currently seeking cashiers & short order cooks to work year round.

The cashier is responsible for taking orders, handling cash, operating the POS system, cleaning & sanitizing tables, providing friendly customer service, packing orders accurately, and keeping restaurant clean and presentable for guests

The short order cook is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving various food products; ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed; operating a variety of kitchen utensils & cooking equipment for food product cooking; collecting payments & performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business.

Essential functions:

- ensures proper food handling procedures are followed - wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperatures of products
- cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment
- need to be punctual, able to follow directions, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- able to take food orders and collect payments

Minimum qualifications, knowledge, skills & work environment:

- requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing up to 50lbs
- requires the ability to bend, twist and stand to perform normal job functions
- requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend instructions as well as converse comfortably with customers
- detailed oriented and work in a fast-paced environment
- must be willing to work flexible hours and be available for day/weekend shifts as required
- work as a member of a team
- a food handlers certificate is **mandatory**
- food service experience a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
