**What You Will Do**

As a Procurement Manager working in the Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will lead procurement efforts for a design-build hospital construction project. You will engage in a combination of tasks including estimating, quantity surveying, construction procurement identifying subtrades and supplies, and evaluating proposals and negotiating contracts.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for construction materials and labor from project drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to develop and refine project budgets.
- Prepare and manage detailed scopes of work for all trades and divisions to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure all project requirements are reflected in procurement documents.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of construction divisions (e.g. site work, structural, MEP, finishes) to identify project needs and prioritize procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations specific to healthcare construction.
- Maintain and expand a robust network of prequalified vendors and subcontractors.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency in procurement deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks, ensuring alignment with project goals and legal requirements.
- Regularly report on procurement status, cost variances, and potential impacts on project delivery.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between stakeholders, including architects, engineers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms and pricing to meet project goals while maintaining strong relationships with all parties.
- Build and develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients, contractors and subtrades.
- Adapt to changing client needs with innovative solutions that showcase your creativity and resourcefulness.

**This role could be for you if you have**
- 10+ years of experience in procurement or quantity surveying, preferably in ICI construction.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, concrete, reo, formwork and finishes.
- Experience, familiarity, and existing relationship with major local suppliers across Canada would be an asset.
- Proficiency in construction take-offs and cost estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam).
- Practical experience of procurement processes, methods, practices, contract administration, and accounting and scheduling principles.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and supplier management.
- Availability to travel to monitor supplier’s performance, production and schedules as needed.
- Familiarity with healthcare construction standards and regulations (e.g., infection control, specialized MEP systems) is highly desirable
- Fluently bilingual in both official languages, (French and English).
