Procurement ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement & Category ManagementProvide oversight and policy direction for procurement activities, including contract management, tendering, ordering, receiving, and distribution of goods and services using best-practice approachesLead the development and execution of strategic sourcing and category management plans to continuously improve procurement operationsAssess existing procurement structures, systems, policies, and processes; recommend and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, controls, and outcomesEstablish performance metrics and KPIs (e.g., cost savings, supplier performance, efficiency gains, rebate programs, and contract compliance)Develop and maintain procurement policies, objectives, priorities, and communication plans to support stakeholders’ access to required goods and servicesMonitor external market trends and identify opportunities to adopt industry best practicesVendor & Contract ManagementLead supplier engagement and negotiations with vendors providing materials, products, equipment, and servicesOversee competitive sourcing and solicitation processes, including requirements development and contract negotiationsDesign and implement preferred vendor strategies where appropriatePartner with Finance and Accounts Payable to analyze invoice volumes, processing timelines, and payment performanceConduct regular business reviews with key suppliers, summarizing contract performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations for senior leadershipSupport vendor onboarding, renewals, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship managementFoster strong, collaborative relationships between internal stakeholders and external suppliersCompliance, Reporting & Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to procurement policies, internal controls, and governance standardsOversee risk identification, assessment, and audit activities related to procurement operationsMaintain accurate, audit-ready procurement documentation and contract recordsTrack contract renewals, pricing changes, and supplier updates, communicating impacts to stakeholders and leadershipPrepare regular reports on procurement activity, supplier performance, inventory trends, and cost managementWhat You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree and significant experience in senior-level procurement or supply chain leadershipProfessional supply chain designation (e.g., SCMP, CSCP, or equivalent)Experience developing and executing procurement strategies within a complex, multi-stakeholder environmentStrong background in contract negotiation, sourcing, and vendor managementExcellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skillsProven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detailPreferred QualificationsExperience within asset-intensive or service-driven industriesExperience working with procurement and financial systemsAdvanced analytical and reporting skills, including strong proficiency with large datasetsProject management experience or certification
