We are currently seeking a professional and customer-focused **Bellperson / Valet** to join our Guest Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS**
Reporting to the **Guest Services Manager**, the Bellperson / Valet is often the first and last point of contact for our guests and plays a key role in ensuring a positive and seamless arrival and departure experience. Responsibilities include assisting with luggage, valet parking, providing information and directions, and responding to guest needs in a courteous and timely manner.
This position includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES**:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
- Assist guests with loading/unloading and transporting luggage to and from rooms or vehicles.
- Safely and efficiently park and retrieve guest vehicles while following established valet procedures.
- Provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain basic room features and hotel amenities.
- Deliver requested items to guest rooms such as packages, amenities, or messages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, driveway, and bell desk area.
- Communicate effectively with Front Desk, Concierge, and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service.
- Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of the local area and attractions is an asset.
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
