**About the Team & Role**:
We are searching for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our growing People & Culture team across North America. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture this cross-functional role provides support to our People & Culture Generalists in Toronto and Guadalajara for various people and culture projects and programs. You'll also have the chance to work directly with leaders across Accedo to deliver a red-carpet employee experience as we continue to scale our growth.
As a vital part of Accedo’s success, you’ll help champion an amazing employee experience by supporting great people programs while we continue our track record of attracting and growing the best and brightest in the industry. This role is the cornerstone of our team helping to build an inclusive, collaborative and challenging environment for all. You'll be joining our diverse, energetic and fun People and Culture team focused on delivering wow experiences to our teams every day.
This role works in a hybrid working style, which will require 2-3 days per week in the Toronto office located at 14 Duncan Street, Toronto, Ontario.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Assist with coordination of new hire orientation and office tours.
- Respond to employee questions or concerns with assistance of Human Resources Generalists.
- Create and maintain employee files in our HRIS system (BambooHR).
- Responsible for post hire/contract ends/probationary period check-ins.
- On-boarding and off-boarding employees (admin and process).
- Conduct onboarding/exit interviews and provide quarterly summary reports.
- Draft letters relating to employment verification, references, contract extensions, benefit changes, compensation changes and other letters as required.
- Liaise with managers regarding End of Probationary Reviews and Contract Extensions, and arrange relevant paperwork.
- Complete all status changes regarding changes in direct deposits, taxation forms, changes to terms and conditions, contract extensions, off-boarding etc. Provide the payroll team with all changes and supporting documentation.
- Assist with coordination of office events, i.e town hall events, internal hackathons, social events.
- Assist with Accedo’s co-op program and coordinating biweekly retrospectives.
- Coordinate employee satisfaction surveys and give actionable insights to HR Generalists to improve employees’ experience.
- Update the company intranet with newly released employment laws and HR policies.
- Co-chair our health & safety committee, ensuring a safe and comfortable workplace.
- Assist with new access cards for new employees and updating access card log.
- Tracking and ordering inventory/supplies from vendors; and stocking of supplies for the kitchen areas, conference rooms, supply rooms.
- Sorting and distributing incoming mail and courier deliveries, and preparing mailings and packages as needed.
- Liaison with building management for maintenance requests.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- CHRP Designation, preferred or in progress
- 2-3 years progressive experience in Human Resources
- Strong attention to detail and skilled in juggling multiple priorities
- Clear and engaging communication, with the ability to energize and excite team members around you
- Proficient computer skills with the Google suite of products, an asset
- Previous experience using BambooHR, an asset
- Demonstrated capability for interdisciplinary/team work as well as ability to work independently and productively
- Confidentiality and discretion are critical for success in this role
- Flexibility and responsiveness
- Willingness to work from our downtown Toronto office at least 2-3 days per week
