**Position Summary**
**Job Duties/Responsibilities**
- empowering students and families to become connected to their school community, connecting students with each other and sharing cultural knowledge
- collaborating with staff on events that celebrate First Nations, Métis and Inuit students
- developing an ongoing conversation and connection with the community and the school to ensure students needs are being best served
- bridging the gap of understanding and trust between the home and the school
- advising on programming needs to best serve First Nations, Métis and Inuit students and community, both in-person and virtually
- advising school administration on processes and procedures to enhance inclusive education for First Nations, Métis and Inuit students and families
- assisting administration on the creation of interdisciplinary programs and facilities in courses where needed
- providing support in the creation of culturally responsible virtual education programming
- advising teachers on appropriate protocols of First Nations, Métis and Inuit culture
- liaising with community stakeholders and supporting students accessing band funding
- assisting students in future career and education planning

**Education/Qualifications**
- undergraduate degree in a related field
- a minimum of three years of related experience including experience working with at-risk youth
- broad understanding of First Nations, Métis and Inuit cultures
- experience with cultural event coordination

**Rate of Pay**
$40.91 - $52.24 per hour
