**Key Responsibility Summary**:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for ensuring achievement of revenue objectives for the assigned territory ( Kitchener and Waterloo). Revenue is to be generated from a variety of sales and marketing duties, including researching and pursuing new referral sources. This position is responsible for reporting results in moving relationships forward to the Franchise Owner on a daily/ weekly basis, discussing successes and opportunities as well as documenting progress in sales/ marketing/networking areas.

**What you’ll be doing (Highlights)**:

- Responsible for researching and developing client relationships and producing referrals; performs all phases of sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, diagnosis of referral source and client needs; and recommendation of appropriate ComForCare Home Care services with special reference to person-centered care.
- Acquire new businesses to increase overall market share. Target accounts include, but
are not limited to, hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities,
independent living communities, senior centers, hospice, long term care facilities, retirement homes etc
- In conjunction with our leadership team, develop strategic sales and marketing plans, detailing daily, weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting or exceeding established goals.
- Effectively present ComForCare Home Care marketing materials and services to referral providers,
including 1:1 meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting formal group presentations to referral providers.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls; presentations; closed sales; and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of recommended software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
- Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and co-workers.
- Collaborate with the ComForCare Corporate marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Manage marketing operations and assist with office operations as needed (such as scheduling, billing and payroll)
- Research governmental contracts ,facility programs and other payers to build referral sources
- Work collaboratively with management to assure consistent message to the customers and the community
- Bonus and commission-based incentives are available based on the number of clients brought in.

**What we’re looking for**:

- A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible
- Minimum of 3 years experience in business development or relationship management role, preferably in the home care or healthcare industry.
- Minimum of High school diploma / GED or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) ; College Diploma is a bonus
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the senior care market and healthcare system in Kitchener/ Waterloo is an
asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle, as the role requires frequent travel within the city (no overnight travel).
- Job requires 75% of travel within Waterloo Region
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements and restrictions in home care services
- Must have an excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience as a business relationship specialist or business liaison is required
