**Salary**: $3,339.00 to $4,493.32 biweekly ($87,148/ year
- $117,276 / year)

Operations under the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) generate billions of dollars of revenue annually through markups and gaming revenue that contributes to funding government services, programs, and Alberta’s charities and community organizations.

**Role Responsibilities**:
The Alcohol, Cannabis and Gaming Policy (ACGP) team is growing and looking for your analytical and policy expertise We have one exciting Manager, Gaming and Horse Racing Policy position available to support our initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, you will lead a policy team to develop key government policy and legislative initiatives in Alberta’s gaming, horse racing, liquor, and cannabis industries. Policy development in these areas is is highly complex and will require your strong political acumen, as these industries are dynamic, and emerging issues can create strong public reactions.

Key responsibilities include project management and leading a team of policy analysts to:

- Develop options related to key ministry policy issues in keeping with all relevant guidelines and/or legislated requirements.
- Take a leadership role in cross-divisional policy issues, coordinating and leading multidisciplinary teams to generate strategic solutions.
- Work collaboratively and liaise regularly with relevant GoA Ministries and other stakeholders to ensure Ministry, cross-Ministry, and Federal-Provincial-Territorial planning, reporting, policy and special-project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner; and
- Lead the development of briefing materials, Cabinet packages, white papers, policy papers, information binders, etc., as required.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**
- A university degree in Economics, Business, Finance or a related field. Master’s degree or higher is preferable.
- Minimum four years’ related experience in undertaking strategic policy development.
