**Coordinator, Game Operations and Events Job Description (Full-Time)**

**Reports To**:
Director, Fan Engagement

**Overview**:The Coordinator, Game Operations and Events will help envision, create, and deliver highly engaging game days and events for the Edmonton Elks. They will oversee operational and logístical planning for Edmonton Elks game day events, signature events, and other club initiatives as required.

**Key Accountabilities**:
General:

- Serve as the point of contact with third party vendors and other relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery and fulfillment of contractual obligations
- Documentation to ensure game day and event details are captured and communicated to both internal and external parties

Game Day & Events:

- Oversee logístical requirements for game days and events, working with internal departments to ensure all operational requirements are considered, including:

- Sitemaps and layouts
- Staffing requirements
- Event rentals
- Assist in planning and logistics of exterior and concourse game day activations, notably Tailgate, Beer Garden, and Kids Zone.
- Execution of pre-game activation setup and strike:

- Setting up tents, parking signs, and wayfinding outside of the stadium.
- Setting up tables and chairs on concourse and throughout fan spaces
- Overseeing setup of premium fan spaces
- Manage Game Operations Event Staff, including hiring, orientation, scheduling, uniforms, and pregame briefings.
- Planning and execution of other events, in collaboration with Game Day and Events team:

- Inter-departmental requirements and communication
- Venue and layout
- Event run of show

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities
- High attention to detail
- Strong ability to multitask
- High level of professionalism
- Working knowledge of live events
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work outdoors, in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Clean Criminal Record Check
- Driver’s License

**Experience**:
- 1 year of event and/or operations management experience
- Experience within the sports industry preferable

**Education & Training**:
- Post-secondary diploma, or university degree in event management, sports management, or a related field
