**No Experience Required**
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to organize and communicate thoughts.
- Ability to carry out responsibilities with limited supervision.

1. Work as a team player with guidance from supervisors.

2. Adhere to policy and procedures.

3. Check the stable gate every day to ensure it is in proper running condition.

4. Greeting all visitors as they arrive.

5. Checking credentials of every person before admitting them to the stables.

6. Logging all individuals that enter the stables.

7. Notifying security or the racing manager if any unauthorized individuals try to enter the stables.

8. Keeping the gate house organized and clean.

9. Remaining at the gate house until relieved or otherwise directed by a supervisor.

10. All other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**

A basic understanding of Horse Racing. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

High School Diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of thoroughbred and standard bred horse racing operations and regulations would be considered an asset.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills using English.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**

Basic Math skills are required.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

Exposure to external weather conditions, dust and noise. Exposure to horses.

Must be able to respond to numerous outside influences and impacts.
Variable hours and workdays as dictated by the Security Manager

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)
- Day Shift (preferred)
