**Marketing and Social Media Consultant**
Western Educational Adventures is looking for a Marketing and Social Media Consultant to work on a trial basis starting ASAP. Specifically, we need someone to help us build our Instagram presence and take charge of our marketing efforts.
- **Please note that as WEA is a small, growing company and this is a new position, many details, etc. will need to be discussed and determined during or after the interview process.**_

**Duties/Tasks**
This contract requires you to be able to perform various functions, some of which are listed below. This list is not exhaustive and there may be additional tasks required:
- Create/manage social media and marketing content
- Attend certain programs and events to engage with clients and potential clients as well as to capture new content
- Plan/participate in developing videos for WEA’s YouTube Channel
- Promote WEA’s programs and marketing platforms
- Continue to develop WEA’s brand
- Develop new marketing strategies, promotions, events, etc.
- Potentially market school programs to school staff
**Compensation**:
Commission or exchange-based for a trial periods with the possibility of a salary-type contract in the future. Exact details to be negotiated and discussed during the interview.
**Minimum qualifications**:
- Strong passion for social media
- Professional attitude
- Managed a personal or business Instagram account with more than 2,000 followers
- Working knowledge of Facebook, YouTube, Meet-up and newsletter services such as MailChimp
- Strong recreational background, experience/interest in the outdoors
- Clean criminal record check
**Desired qualifications**:
- Degree or diploma in marketing or a related field
- 1+ years experience managing social media for a business
- Outdoor certifications
