Reman Production Supervisor

Toromont Reman is seeking a Reman Production Supervisor to join our Bradford team. In this role, you will lead a team of highly skilled component rebuilders, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, efficiency, and contamination control.

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the remanufacturing of Caterpillar machine components, providing guidance, direction, and support to your team. Your leadership will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and cost effectiveness.

**In a typical day, YOU will**:

- Inspire the team, be on the shop floor providing direction, observing, advising, coaching and mentoring your team
- Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Provide excellent customer service as the key contact for shop production requirements and schedule work to maximize productivity of shop operations
- Investigate and report accidents or near misses
- Coach and mentor your team to meet and exceed customer and business expectations through TRG’S, ESD’s and Quality
- Provide direction on repairs with regards to financial implications of work orders including customer pay, warranties, policies and redo’s
- Manage work-in-progress (WIP)
- Responsible for maintaining contamination control standards
- Promote continuous improvement within the production shop with the Process and Quality team
- Performance evaluations and coaching sessions for direct reports
- Collaborate and work closely with Exchange Sales Teams
- Work with a sense of urgency and foster a team environment

**Must-haves for this role**:

- Post Secondary Education with a technical focus and up to 3 years experience in a supervisory position within a shop environment
- Safety conscious with a solid technical aptitude for heavy equipment, Caterpillar, competitive product lines and current marketplace industry knowledge
- Exceptional communication, relationship development and interpersonal skills
- Customer centric with effective team building, coaching and leadership
- Proven business and financial acumen with effective decision making skills
- Ability to drive sales with strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines and changing priorities
- Self-directed, independent and a team player with high initiative and integrity
- Computer and systems literate with proficiencies with DBS, Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Cat SIS, or experience with Toromont operations would be an asset
