This role works within a dynamic Manufacuturing team supporting the Canadian operations.

We are now looking for an experienced **Production Supervisor **to join our **Brantford Manufacturing Team**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all production processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping activities of the area and meet production quality and quantity standards
- Utilize fully integrated IT business system (SAP) in all processes
- Plan, schedule, and direct production and maintenance work for efficient operations
- Key contact for contractors working on site
- Develop departmental goals and objectives that provide direction in order to maintain a competitive organization and meet overall business objectives
- Ensure company safety and environmental standards are met
- Ensure company quality standards in production are met
- Ensure all established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed
- Ensure all personnel are trained appropriately for new and existing systems
- Direct activities associated with troubleshooting process
- Work to reduce costs through improving product quality and lowering operating and supply costs
- Assist Plant Manager and Engineering / Maintenance in coordination of capital projects

Qualifications and Competencies:

- Four year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing operation with a working knowledge of plant process flows and operations or a minimum of 8 years’ experience in one or more plant functions: production, materials management, technical, engineering or maintenance
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing operation
- Strong knowledge of basic chemical reactions utilized in the manufacturing process
- Requires overall knowledge of chemical processing equipment, plant processes, environmental guidelines, and state, federal and local employment law
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing principles, material compatibility, logistics and engineering
- Ability to plan and execute in a production environment
- High degree of attention to safety and accident prevention
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lead others in a fast-paced, high stress environment
- Must be able to respond appropriately and immediately to disaster/emergency situations
- Intermediate level computer skills
- MS Word, Excel, and Internet
- Experience utilizing fully integrated business system, such as SAP or similar business system
