We are now recruiting for a temporary (up to 7 months) Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. The role is currently working from home three days/week and from our head office in Burnaby, BC two days/week but must be flexible to attend in-office meetings when required.

The Internal Auditor builds relationships at all levels of PBC management and staff, determining how Internal Audit can provide value and being considerate of their time and resource constraints.
The internal Auditor works cohesively with the IA team to complete the risk-based, agile IA Plan by leading less complex internal audits, participating in all phases of audits lead by other team members, and following-up with internal audit clients to determine the status of corrective actions and adequacy of improvements implemented.
In this role you will perform audits in accordance with department standards, best practices and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
**Key Experiences You Bring to This Role****:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in internal or external audit
- Bachelor’s degree
- Relevant professional designation completed or in progress, or equivalent experience/education
- Proficient knowledge of internal control testing and documentation of sufficient, appropriate audit evidence
- Proven interpersonal and teamwork skills, contributing to a positive work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to work autonomously on multiple projects
