**Job Summary** **Key Duties and Responsibilities**: - Lead Department Managers through the full cycle recruitment process including the job postings, attending interviews, processing employment contracts, conducting employee on-boarding and open role management - Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems (Oracle) and auditing for accuracy and compliance - Lead HR projects (i.e., Skill Gap Analysis, Merit/Bonus process, DEI Initiatives) - Develop and maintain job descriptions and postings and applicant information in HR Database; Oracle - Develop and coordinate employee onboarding process, communicate and collect payroll information, integration, and participate in the probationary review process - As the primary point of HR contact, assist all managers and employees with change management, performance management, employee engagement and best practices - Develop employee engagement initiatives, workshops and trainings, and retention strategies - Ensure legal compliance of HR provincial and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required - Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements - Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve the employees’ experience - Manage the Great Place to Work certification process and follow-up including focus groups - Manage conflict, progressive discipline, voluntary and involuntary terminations of employment - Oversee all Health and Safety initiatives and manage policy updates - Manages committees on wellness, training, health and safety, culture, and communications as needed - Develop specialist knowledge of practical Employment Law and a further understanding of generalist HR as well as increasing understanding of the wider business - Assist with HR-related project work where required - Assumes role of "super user" for all supporting HR technology (Oracle) - Maintain advanced level of confidentiality and professionalism - Other duties and responsibilities as required **Qualifications**: - 5+ years’ experience in all areas of Human Resources in a generalist capacity - Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related - Strong working knowledge of HR policies and procedures, Ontario employment legislation and requirements - Superior knowledge of HRIS systems, specifically Oracle and UKG, comfortable learning new technology systems as needed - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, coach, and build relationships proactively with employees at all levels - Strong ethics and cultural awareness - Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word - Ability to work independently in a stand-alone position - CHRP/CHRL designation or in progress is an asset - Impeccable attention to detail is an absolute must - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and high-pressure situations - Exceptional time management, and multitasking capability. - Self-starter that is comfortable working with little oversight and tight deadlines **Hours of Work** - The hours of work are 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Some overtime may be a requirement of this position.
