Event Waste Manager

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Manage daily waste collection and disposal operations, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Supervise and train staff on proper waste handling techniques, including the use of power tools and hand tools.
- Conduct regular inspections of waste management facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop efficient waste management strategies that enhance customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of waste disposal activities and prepare reports for management review.
- Coordinate with external vendors for the disposal of hazardous materials when necessary.
- Implement best practices in custodial services to maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees and visitors.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the collection and transportation of waste materials.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate power tools safely.
- Knowledge of custodial practices and waste management regulations is a plus.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
