Floral Wholesale Account Manager

The purpose of the Account Manager is to cultivate and nurture strong client relationships, driving sustainable revenue growth and profitability for the company by delivering exceptional service and tailored floral offerings and solutions. This role is dedicated to understanding the unique needs of each client, ensuring they receive the highest quality products and customer service. By proactively identifying opportunities for expansion with new clients, within the existing portfolio, and staying attuned to market trends, the Account Manager plays a critical role in driving our revenue and maintaining our leadership position in the wholesale floral market.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Client Relationship Management**:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounts, ensuring needs are met with a high level of hospitality and satisfaction.
**Sales Growth and Business Development**
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets within your portfolio and to expand the client base.
- Identify, plan and pursue new business opportunities including seeking new clients as well as exploring additional revenue streams with existing clients; regularly communicate with existing clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability while maintaining strong client relationships.
**Market Analysis and Product Knowledge**
- Stay informed about market trends, competitive products, and customer preferences to effectively position our products and increase revenue.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure the availability of floral products that meet market demands.
- Provide clients with up-to-date information on product availability, pricing, and seasonal offerings.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding each individual customer’s business needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Promptly address and resolve client concerns to ensure optimal satisfaction.
- Oversee client orders meticulously through each phase of the sales cycle on a weekly basis, and collaborate with fellow team members and support staff to ensure the accurate processing and timely fulfillment of floral orders
**Order Processing and Fulfillment**
- Accurately process customer orders in the system, ensuring all details are correct and meet customer specifications.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to oversee the fulfillment of orders, ensuring products are picked, packed, and shipped according to the customer's requirements and company standards
- Monitor order progress and proactively communicate with customers about any delays, changes, or issues with order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the availability of products needed to fulfill orders.
**Working Conditions**
- Primarily desk-based in a warehouse environment with occasional interaction with warehouse team and suppliers.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the wholesale floral industry or a related field.
- Extensive expertise in florals, with a particular emphasis on weddings and events.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts.
- Background in floral design or horticulture is an asset
- Familiarity with current trends in the floral consumer market is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
**Compensation Package**:
- A performance-based incentive program aligned with sales achievements.
Pay: $52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
- Floral: 3 years (required)
- Sales: 5 years (preferred)
- B2B sales: 2 years (preferred)
- Customer relationship management: 2 years (required)
