**SPRINT Senior Care** began caring for seniors and enabling seniors to care for themselves in 1983. We continue to do so today as an accredited, not-for-profit community support service agency in Toronto by offering a wide range of practical and low-cost services to seniors and their caregivers. Our services help seniors stay safe, connected, and live as independently as possible. They also prevent premature or inappropriate institutionalization.

**Job Summary**:The Communications Specialist helps raise awareness of SPRINT Senior Care’s services through various channels, both online and in print. The Communications Assistant will be helping to manage SPRINT Senior Care’s social media accounts and assisting in the production of newsletters, flyers, and other print communications. Internally, you will communicate with employees and volunteers across the entire organization.
**Responsibilities**:The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Helping to manage SPRINT Senior Care’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn) by posting compelling stories and photos from our diverse community of 4,000 clients, 270 staff, and 260 volunteers
- Assisting in the creation of content calendars for social media
- Helping to analyze our web/social media analytics to determine best strategies for online content posting
- Creating and designing graphics such as posters, flyers, and brochures
- Taking photos of client programs and at events for our social media accounts, website and newsletter
- Conducting interviews and writing client, family, staff and volunteer stories for SPRINT Senior Care’s newsletters and website
- Helping to plan organization events
- Proofreading and editing various documents
**Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator would be an asset
- Interest or experience in photography
- Experience with social media
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
