We are currently seeking an experienced **Microsoft 365 SharePoint Specialist **to join our team who will be instrumental in our digital journey.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SharePoint architecture from scratch, tailored to meet the specific needs of the Engineering firm.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes to design and deploy SharePoint solutions.
- Design, configure, and customize SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows to support various functions such as CAD, Design, Project Management, and Operations.
- Provide SharePoint training and information sessions, including how-to guides and training videos to end users;
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery and optimize end user experience;
- Troubleshoot and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions;
- Perform data retrieval and backup procedures;
- Ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data;
- Ensure compliance to legislative requirements, and company policies and procedures;
- Mentor a junior level SharePoint developer/administrator to perform backup duties and assigned duties as required;
- Oversee, manage and administer Microsoft Teams creation and permissions;
- Provide regular reports on SharePoint statistics; and,
- Other related duties, as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related discipline;
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Developer Associate would be a strong asset;
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role;
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and capabilities;
- Experience in SharePoint and Dynamics integrations;
- Experience in providing SharePoint services to engineering users would be an asset;
- Proficiency in SharePoint customization using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), client-side scripting (JavaScript, TypeScript), and other development tools would be a an asset;
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to provide solutions to complex technical issues;
- Ability to make recommendations to SharePoint processes; and,
- Strong time management skills.
