Site Superintendent

Urbis Infill Homes is looking for a **Site Superintendent** to join their dynamic, and family-oriented Team. The Site Superintendent will report to the Operations Lead, Katie Warwa, and work closely with their fellow Site Superintendent, Project Coordinator, and all other Team members to ensure all residential construction projects are being expertly managed on budget and schedule, with strict adherence to high quality and safety standards.

In addition to overseeing the day-to-day construction activities for assigned projects, it is expected that the Site Superintendent maintains positive working relationships with subtrades and vendors, is forward thinking about the constructability and sequencing of assigned projects and is strong in their ability to communicate issues and progress updates.

**DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Schedules and manages all on-site construction activities for infill/custom residential projects.
- Ensures the scope of work assigned to each trade is delivered to the Urbis standard with a strong understanding of IFC drawings, quotes and purchase orders issued.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in and around all active job sites.

Manage all construction sites in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring adherence to all Occupational Health & Safety guidelines and Urbis Safety Program.
- Orders and manages construction material deliveries to site.

Actively participate in weekly department meetings, bringing forward project updates, issues, and ideas for process improvements.
- Establishes meetings with team members to discuss issues as they arise to ensure site progress is unhindered.
- Participates in scheduled client site visits and milestone walkthroughs throughout construction.
- Reviews construction drawings and providing comments for constructability, sequencing, and scope of work considerations for the tendering process.
- Maintain accurate and current information in the company’s construction management software (CoConstruct) and task management software (Ninety).
- Oversee the successful hand over of completed homes with clients with goal of having no outstanding punch list items (except for seasonal deficiencies).
- Manage and resolve assigned warranty requests from clients.
- Ensure all Urbis tools and equipment is maintained in good working order, including vehicles.
- Assist in ensuring the off-site storage space is kept clean and organized.

**THE RIGHT PERSON WILL HAVE**:

- Post-secondary education in Construction Management.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience working as a Field Superintendent or Site Superintendent.
- Highly motivated, team player.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting and provide feedback on construction drawings and details.
- Organized to be thinking 4 weeks to 3 months out on assigned projects, to ensure schedule is maintained.
- Must be highly organized with ability to prioritize work and diligent with trade communication.
- Sound knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, construction practices and methodologies.
- CPR and first aid certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications upon hiring.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a clean driver’s abstract.
