**Your role**
- Determine workload (production volume) and monitor inventory movements in the facility frequently throughout the day;
- Use planning matrix to assess staffing requirements to meet daily, weekly and monthly volume fluctuations;
- Communicate effectively with management team regarding business objectives, safety issues, current problems, upcoming events and daily requests;
- Instill a culture of safety in the workplace;
- Identify and escalate safety issues to the appropriate party for resolution;
- Ensure supervisors adopt the culture and respect expectations;
- Communicate and collaborate with human resources business partner in hiring staff (seasonal and full-time team);
- Mentor supervisors and monitor and enhance their performance;
- Ensure the success of their team; meet or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance and budget targets;
- Participate in succession planning;
- Report key performance indicators and financial results to management and the company;
- Monitor and determine labor budgets for all assigned areas
- Identify process improvements and contribute to their implementation or to the implementation of new processes launched by the Supply chain (customer-focused distribution);
- Accelerate receiving, picking and shipping of priority products;
- Ensure cross-training is completed and updated;
- Inspect the physical condition of the distribution center and equipment on a daily basis, and carry out maintenance and repairs as required;
- Promote and develop a flexible working environment with the direct distribution center;
- Perform any other duties assigned by the General Site Manager.

**The qualifications we are looking for**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
- 5 to 7 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume distribution center;
- Ability to build and lead a high-performance team;
- Ability to build relationships and gain the confidence of others;
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization;
- Experience working with integrated warehouse management system (WMS) and transportation management system (asset);
- Ability to effectively lead projects from inspection to implementation;
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions based on limited information and changing conditions;
- Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills for identifying and creatively solving complex problems;
- Excellent sense of priorities and time management;
- Proven track record of compliance with safety requirements; ability to establish a safety culture among subordinates and peers.
