**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Operations, Seneca Works, and working in close collaboration with the Manager, Career-Ready Programming, the incumbent is responsible for the outreach, vetting, onboarding and support for Seneca’s large employer base to ensure strong, safe partnerships are developed and maintained. This includes sourcing program connections, verifying and approving job opportunities, and guiding employers on best practices as far as posting, recruiting, and promoting job and/or WIL opportunities for students and graduates.
In collaboration with the Career-Ready Programing team, the incumbent must be able to select and utilize established market development and sales techniques to strategically identify emerging needs and opportunities that will assist students and new graduates to meet their employment goals.
**Responsibilities**:
**Employer Validation & Vetting**:
- Researches or verifies employer history, insurance coverage, occupational health and safety compliance, ethical hiring practices, reputation, and verifies outstanding past issues at Seneca or other post-secondary institutions or elsewhere according to Seneca’s employer vetting process.
- Utilizes social media tools and on-line platforms to obtain required company information as part of the validation process.
- Determines appropriate program affiliation and sector alignment for new employers and positions/projects.
- Documents and communicates information regarding employers or issues with employer accounts.
**Employer Outreach, Support & Recruitment Advising**:
- Provides support to employers in identifying which type of experiential learning would best meet their needs and connects employers with other departments as relevant.
- Provides detailed information about Seneca Works processes and guidelines.
- Assists employers to identify the skills, capabilities and workforce talent needs they require.
- Guides new employers through the job posting process including providing technical support with the Seneca Works Career Portal.
- Reviews and approves job postings - requiring detailed text review and required follow-up for clarification and salary information as needed.
- Ensures approved job postings are open to the relevant programs.
- Assesses potential to match employer with funding opportunities and provides relevant information to employers.
**Research and Strategic Planning Support**:
- Conducts economic trend, market, industry/sector and other analytics research to focus job development efforts across Seneca Works.
- Identifies new potential employers, both domestic and international, and determines appropriate employer contacts.
- Follows short-, medium
- and long-term industry, employment, economic and sector trends.
- Facilitates relationship building with appropriate associations and other industry related groups.
- Monitors job and employer sites that list jobs potentially suitable for Seneca students.
- Provides information and data to the Seneca community to inform decision-making related to new program development or other initiatives.
**Seneca Works Department support**:
- Participates in the creation and updating of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to employer requirements and support processes under the guidance of the Manager, Operations, Seneca Works.
- Supports the Seneca Works team in determining employer suitability and potential interest in special events.
- Conducts initial outreach to employers to invite, solicit and verify interest in events.
- Collects, organizes and disseminates data related to employer engagement and programing outcomes.
- As required, will assist in developing, deploying and analysing employer satisfaction surveys.
**Other**
- Participating as part of staff team (e.g., attending and participating in staff meetings and development activities, committees, etc.).

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Minimum of a completed three (3) year diploma in Human Resources, Career/Education, or Business Administration.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, or Marketing.
- Knowledge of labour market information (LMI) and/or business development considered to be a strong asset.
**Skills**
- Proven computer skills and excellent business writing and communication skills required.
