**Position Summary**:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the timely and accurate preparation of the company’s semi-monthly payroll and benefits. In addition, the Payroll Specialist will manage the payroll systems maintenance and support other HR projects as assigned. This role delivers positive and timely internal customer service to our employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administer and manage the company’s payroll processing for hourly and salary employees of semi-monthly pay frequency, using our ERP System, Ceridian and UKG.
- Ensure payroll compliance within various jurisdictions in Canada and the US.
- Perform extensive reviews and audit of all payroll inputs and outputs to identify payroll discrepancies and make adjustments when necessary.
- Calculation and transmission of payroll, payment of terminations and leave payments.
- Point of contact for payroll and human resources internal related inquiries.
- Prepare GL reports for accounting department.
- Ensure benefits costs are tracked appropriately.
- Prepare various monthly and year-end reports for US and Canadian government agencies as required.
- Contribution to continuous improvement on payroll processes and procedures.
- Administrative tasks including updating and maintaining payroll and ERP records

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 year diploma with a specialization in accounting, business, or human resources.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is preferred.
- 3-5 years of full-cycle payroll administration experience for up to 150 employees are required.
- Excellent organizational, time management and decision-making skills to effectively meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
- Experience in a consultancy project-based work environment is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, and superior attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate in French is an asset but not required.

Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
