Searcy Trucking Ltd. is hiring for a Planner/Dispatcher out of our head office in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The main objective of the Planner/Dispatcher is to plan trucks and relay those plans to the Driver as well as trouble shoot and support the Drivers throughout the execution of these plans. This position entails working alongside the inbound planner to ensure maximum utilization of trucks while satisfying customer requirements.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Provide loading information and trip details to Fleet Coordinators and Drivers
- Building trips and dispatching them as required
- Search for loads as required using load boards and direct customer contacts
- Assign loads to trucks & manage resources (trucks/trailers)Providing clear instruction to Fleet Coordinators, Drivers and Customs support
- Ensure all proper documentation, pertinent & accurate load information is provided to the driver and has been entered/imaged to the Freight Bills
- Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:

- Sound conflict resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in transportation industry is considered an asset
- PC skills - Windows, MS Office Suite, Internet

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
