**Position Overview**

The **Business Development Manager - Bridges** will play a key role in expanding DBM Vircon’s presence in the North American bridge steel detailing market, while also promoting companion services such as concrete and rebar detailing. This role is responsible for business development, client relationship management, and building trusted partnerships through a solutions-based sales approach.

The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with our technical SMEs, estimating team, and other business segments to leverage DBM Vircon’s integrated methodology. Success in this role requires strong industry acumen, a client-first mindset, and the ability to identify opportunities, win new business, and expand long-term client relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**

Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- **Sales Strategy & Execution**: Develop and implement sales plans to identify, engage, and win new customers in the bridge and transit infrastructure sectors, while promoting DBM Vircon’s full suite of services.
- **Client Relationship Building**: Establish, maintain, and grow strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and expanded opportunities across service lines.
- **Collaboration & Growth**: Partner with the VP Sales and wider sales team to deliver effective growth strategies and account management processes.
- **Cross-Segment Coordination**: Work with sales colleagues across North America to promote services within both industrial and commercial markets.
- **Pipeline & CRM Management**: Accurately manage opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring timely updates and reliable reporting.
- **Account Planning**: Create and participate in account plans to achieve sales targets, including revenue growth, pipeline expansion, and client retention.
- **Strategic Agility**: Balance immediate sales goals with long-term business development strategies.
- **Market Engagement**: Represent DBM Vircon at industry events, client meetings, and presentations to enhance brand recognition and generate leads.

**Travel**
- This role covers Canada and the United States. It is anticipated that 30% - 50% travel will be required. Company credit card and corporate travel arrangement is provided.

**Work Experience**
- Minimum of five (5) years total related experience in bridge construction, engineering, or maintenance.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in B2B technical or construction-related sales/marketing.
- Strong knowledge of the bridge and transit infrastructure sectors, with established professional relationships in the industry highly beneficial.
- Proven track record of developing client accounts, driving sales, and achieving revenue targets.

**Software & Technology**
- Proficiency with Salesforce preferred.
- Knowledge of construction modelling software (Tekla, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Bluebeam) is beneficial but not required.

**Salary Range**

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $135,000 CAD per annum + Commission (performance-based). The final base salary will be determined based on factors such as the applicant's education, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications.
