**Public Relations Coordinator (Volunteer)**

Latincouver Cultural and Business Society is a non-profit organization that brings together Latin Americans and Latin enthusiasts living in Vancouver to strengthen and celebrate the richness of our businesses and cultures.

- **Empowering People**:We generate growth possibilities and empowerment of enthusiastic Latin Americans seeking opportunities in Canada.

We are seeking a motivated Public Relations Coordinator to join our team and take on a pivotal role in our Marketing area and supporting public relations tasks. The PR Coordinator will play a crucial part in keeping the calendar and all the social media up to date, ensuring the smooth operation of our organization by promoting favorable media about the Latincouver events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Keeping calendars (editorial, press conferences, events etc.) and media lists up to date
- Editing and proofreading PR content
- Execute local media and website outreach to promote and generate favorable media coverage surrounding programming for all Latin American events
- Establish and maintain excellent and professional relationships with editors in various media outlets
- Follow up and monitor all Latincouver events related publication,
- Come up with creative marketing and communication strategies to generate engagement

**Job Requirements and Skills**
- 3 days per week, 4 or 5 hours, at least 3 months
- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish/Portuguese
- High problem solving and creative thinking capabilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience using Google Drive to handle information
- Proactive and positive attitude with high levels of energy
- Interest in the latest marketing trends
- Previous experience and academics in advertising, social media, digital relations, marketing, or public relations is an asset
