We have an opening for a creative PR Account Executive / Junior Manager in Vancouver looking to take their career to the next level. This is a hybrid role for someone who understands the public relations world and is social media savvy. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, is committed to understanding and upholding brand tone, voice, and values, is a strong copywriter and has experience with content creation. This is a full-time position, remote-first but must reside in Vancouver (or within driving distance).

What you'll be doing

  • Contribute to the development of strategies to meet clients' goals and objectives
  • Nurture existing and build new relationships with media and influencers, managing the players (regional/national)
  • Media list development and management
  • Execute media relations to secure earned media coverage
  • Track for earned media coverage, managing coverage trackers
  • Prepare reports
  • Draft client updates and meeting notes
  • Competitive analysis on client competitors
  • Media and influencer monitoring & clipping
  • Event logistics and coordination
  • Mailer logistics and coordination
  • Vendor liaison
  • Writing; media & influencer pitches, creative briefs, key messaging, etc.
  • Content calendar preparation
  • Copywriting for social media posts
  • Social listening, posting and responding
  • Support the execution of influencer programs
  • Support in the planning and management of events (travel will be required)

Basic Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Public Relations or Marketing Communications
  • 3+ years experience in PR agency environment
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic PR campaigns
  • Experience supporting integrated PR/Social Media campaigns
  • Excellent command of written and verbal communication
  • Experience writing different types of content (social media posts, blog posts, press releases, announcements, newsletters, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of Social Media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Experience monitoring, tracking and reporting results - working with software such as Meltwater, Cision, MRP (Media Ratings Point) or similar
  • Influencer strategy and program managements
  • Social media analytics and reporting an asset
  • Creative mindset with experience in social media content development (content strategy, photoshoots etc.)
  • Photography experience an asset
  • Demonstrates curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and solve problems
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Reliable, accountable and highly organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
