**This role is for Looby Construction, an EllisDon Company.**

**You as an Estimator**:

- Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure while building strong relationships with sub-trades
- Assemble accurate, timely and well organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build
- Organize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting the buy-out process
- Distribute sub-trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price
- Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference
- Oversee prequalification submissions, RFQ’s and RFI’s
- Review drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirements
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders, specifically sub trade contractors
- Recognizes risks related to project-specific requirements, site, schedule, and market conditions /constraints
- Completes full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials for medium to
- large scopes
- Establishes a critical path schedule, including milestone dates and completion timelines for projects

**Is this the right role for you?**
- You have 2-5 years of estimation experience and have a construction related degree/diploma or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts
- Experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Cost Consulting, or direct field experience in construction of roadways, concrete structures, sewers and/or general civil works is an asset;
