**Duties**:
Reports to the Manager of Housing. Performs a wide range of maintenance and repair duties within multiple Public Housing portfolio buildings.

**Work Performed**:

- Performs general maintenance and minor repairs to all buildings within the public housing portfolio.
- Provides operational support through scheduling and co-coordinating routine, annual and emergency repairs and maintenance.
- Responds to or reports tenant inquires or maintenance requests in accordance with established procedures.
- Conducts move out, unit and building inspections.
- Handles cleaning materials, supplies and tools.
- Re-keys units and performs locksmith duties; keeps keys organized.
- Reports defective conditions or indications of trouble to the appropriate housing staff member.
- Assists in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Community College Diploma (1 year) in Renovation Techniques/Construction/Carpentry
- Minimum 3-6 months related professional experience
- Valid Driver's Licence (Class G)

**Specialized Skills, Abilities, Training, License, Memberships, or Certifications**
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Building and related Codes, Housing Services Act and the Residential Tenancies Act
- Ability to obtain a Criminal Reference Check
