**Position Summary**

The Calgary Stampede is looking for ambitious, self-directed and solution focused individuals who work well under tight deadlines to join our Payments & Cash Services Team as an Event, Payments and Cash Processor. The Event, Payments and Cash Processor is responsible for safeguarding, controlling, and managing cash-in and out, reconciliation and currency transaction processes.

This position plays a key role in our event-based operations by leading and guiding employees from numerous teams on internal procedures related to cash-in, cash-out and floats in a professional and positive manner, while trouble shooting procedural or equipment issues that may arise. In this role, you will focus on a variety of duties including balancing floats, balancing vaults, reconciliation of funds/receipts, data entry, preparation of outbound currency orders and replenishments and working with different equipment such as bill counters, coin rollers Moneris and POS equipment.

Please note that this position is event based and shifts can vary from mornings, afternoons and overnights based on business requirements.

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Exercise a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, prudence, and security.
- Provide expert cash handling. This includes detection of counterfeit currency, sorting and counting currency.
- Preparation of bank deposits
- Provides cash change services under significant time constraints
- Data entry for all currency transactions
- Prepare outbound currency orders and replenishments
- Responsible to receive cash currency from various locations around Stampede Park and in conjunction with security, to safeguard the transport of these funds to a cash count location.
- Verify and balance electronic transactions from various credit card systems
- Verify deposit information within Calgary Stampede cash processing systems
- Ensure all cash deposits have been verified against deposit slips and have been accurately entered into the system.
- Process and confirm all credit and debit transactions to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Update and maintain event deposit spreadsheets.

**Qualifications**
- High volume cash handling experience, accurate and expedient use of business machines, i.e.: bill counters, computers, coin counters and calculators
- Superior Math Skills
- Moneris and POS support experience an asset
- Works well under pressure in a very dynamic workplace
- Superior dexterity
- Extreme attention to detail
- Security conscious
- Ability to de-escalate tensions and solve problems in a collaborative way.
- High level of comfort with technology.
- Frequent lifting upwards of 25 up to 50 pounds
- Pushing, pulling, crouching, bending, and reaching frequently.
